Preschool

Here at Calvary Christian Academy, we offer preschool to 3 & 4yr. olds. Calvary Christian Academy's Preschool program is a full day program from 8:00 am-3:00 pm. We use both Abeka and Bob Jones Curriculum.

Bible: We start each day with prayer. We integrate Biblical principles into all material and lessons taught. We also read from the Bible.

Pre-Reading: Group writing experience; listening comprehension.

Handwriting: Tracing and writing letters.

Language arts: Name recognition; colors; helping others; kindness; respect.

Literature: Circle and rhyme time.

Science: Calendar; weather; seasons; plants; living creatures.

Math: Number recognition; counting; tracing and writing numbers; one-to-20 correspondence.

Social studies: Knowing parents' names; address; phone numbers; family history; emotions; history books.

8:00-8:30 - Breakfast

8:30-9:00 - Worship and Bible

9:00-10:00 - Seat Work

10:00-10:15 - Snack

10:15-11:00 - Free play

11:00-11:30 - Lunch

11:30-12:15 - Outside play

12:15-2:00 - Nap/Rest

2:00-2:15 - Snack

2:15-2:45 - Free play or outside

2:45-3:00 - Circle to end our day

(Potty times are on an as needed basis)

Preschool: must be 3 years old before September 1st

All students must be completely toilet trained (no pull ups)

Calvary Christian Academy Preschool is licensed by the state of New Mexico and accepts CYFD funding.
